A method in Vedic Mathematics

Vedic mathematics is similar to mental mathematics but has methods which help in mental calculations. I will discuss some methods which can be used in some basic calculations which take time.

For Example if we want to know the square of numbers ending in 5-
45 multiplied by 45 is 2025.
55 multiplied by 55 is 3025
65 multiplied by 65 is 4225
75 multiplied by 75 is 5625
85 multiplied by 85 is 7225
.......and so on.

With this method, first we multiply the five in each number, the calculations will be correct only if the tens place is same. For example- 65 x 65, 75 x 75 etc.
in 65 x 65, multiply 5 to the other 5 and you will get 25.
Carry over 1 and add it to and of the two numbers. now you have-
75
65
----
25

Multiply 6 and 7. Then the whole answer is 4225. You may try this with 75 x 75 and so on.

You can even multiply 115 x 115-
115
115
---
First- 5 x 5 25

Carry over 1 and add it to 11.-
125
115
---

Multiply 12 with 11 13225

The answer of the multiplication of 115 x 115 is 13225.
Similarly, you can multiply digits ending in 5 but should have the same tens and hundreds.
