Measurement

We all must be familiar with the importance of measurement in our day to day life. You must be familiar with the SI units of mass, time, temperature and weight.
The SI units of the following are-
NEWTON- SI unit of weight
SECOND- SI unit of time
KILOGRAM- SI unit of mass
KELVIN- SI unit of temperature

FORMULAS:
Formula relating mass and weight:
By Newton's law of motion
WEIGHT= M multiplied with g
Where- M- Mass of the body
G- Acceleration due to gravity
With the help of this formula, we are able to explain: why the weight a body in space is 0?

WEIGHT= M multiplied with g
= m multiplied with 0(as acceleration of gravity in space is 0)
= 0

DENSITY= MASS upon VOLUME

Things to remember:
A physical balance is used for the measurement of mass accurately.
A spring balance is used to measure the weight of a body at a given place.
A hydrometer is a device which is used to measure the density of liquids.
